mary's little donkey advent calendar

We did this Advent calendar accompanied by the book. It's truly sweet and we'll certainly revisit it. We detached the doors completely, but even without them, it's re-usable. This year we're using the calendar as a back drop for our Nativity scene.

Graphically depicts life in Nazareth and the journey to Bethlehem with the little donkey. The journey is laid out on a lovely landscape and the windows are not randomly placed but make sense, and their contents move the story along! It helps to have the book, to understand the story which is illustrated. The story can be overly long so read it beforehand and summarize it.
<br>Also, have some clear tape handy; the windows are hard to open and tend to pop off when you do open them, but if you hinge them back on you can recreate the story whenever you want.

- that you can enjoy it without the book (and used ones are easy to get), but the calendar also comes with explanatory titles for each window!
